Tell me about your Sundays, how do you spend them?

My Sundays always start off slow, with a hot cup of tea in bed. I like to take my time and slowly wake up. I don't like doing any planning on Sunday so we usually just see where the day takes us. I could spend all day being lazy and catching up on knitting or go on an adventure around the Cape.

You seem to enjoy food a lot, what is your Sunday breakfast like?

Eggs and bacon are pretty standard for a Sunday but if I'm feeling extremely well rested and full of energy I'll whip up a stack of pancakes with bacon and banana of course!

Do you have a Sunday ritual, something that you only do on this specific day?

All of my friends usually Braai (BBQ) on a Sunday or have some kind of get together. Sometimes we just make a fire and have some drinks. It's winter now in Cape Town so there will always be a hot fire on the go and some local wine. Its nice to get everyone together before the start of another hectic week.

You live in Cape Town, how would you suggest one to spend time on a Sunday?

There are so many walks and hikes as just about everyone here lives on the edge of Table Mountain National Park. I would highly suggest getting some breakfast on Bree Street and then heading for a casual stroll in the National Park. There is also the promenade in Sea Point that runs along the ocean which is great for a sunset walk. Otherwise a day trip to the Stellenbosch winelands is always incredible, there are some amazing restaurants and beautiful wine farms that are only about an hour outside of Cape Town.
