What are your Sundays like? Apart from music, breakfast on a sunny morning and riding bicycles, what else are you up to?
Our Sundays are spent together with family. I've probably been woken up too early by my youngest, leaving us with plenty of time to slowly drink our coffee before we head out the door to church. In the summer, we drink our Sunday coffee outside while the kids play and during the winter, next to the fire. After church, the children always sleep and we make a big meal together and relax.
Where do you go when you want to relax from daily activities and charge for the coming week?
Home feels like a different place on Sundays. During the week, it's our place of business, our tornado base where we fly in and out of to get to school and to meetings on time, and our pantry for on the fly lunches and snacks as we are out the door with the kids. On Sundays I love to be at home and experience it in a different way. All of a sudden, I feel it's appropriate to get little projects done, to spend an hour making a meal, or even read a book and take a nap.
What advice would you give someone who wants to spend a memorable Sunday? Could you share a Sunday story that you will never forget?
Slow down. My most memorable Sundays are spent when I have nothing planned. I love when our children have the freedom to guide our day, play outside, and discover their own adventure.
